Musical Notes<br />
Upper School Jazz ensemble Performance<br />
<strong>The</strong> upper school Jazz ensemble performed at<br />
two local jazz festivals during the fall. in october<br />
the ensemble performed at ed smith stadium as part<br />
<strong>of</strong> the sarasota Blues Festival. <strong>The</strong> group was also<br />
invited back, for the second year in a row, to perform<br />
at the Jazz at the ranch, hosted at the sarasota<br />
Polo club this past november. <strong>The</strong> crowds were<br />
dazzled by our performers.<br />
Tri-M Music<br />
on october 24, 2006, fifteen upper school<br />
students became new members <strong>of</strong> the Tri-m music<br />
honor society. <strong>The</strong> society recognizes outstanding<br />
musicianship and community service.<br />
congratulations to the entire group!<br />
encore UniceF Performance<br />
students from the orchestra program and encore string<br />
students presented a concert on behalf <strong>of</strong> uniceF this<br />
past october. students found sponsors to contribute for<br />
minutes <strong>of</strong> practice and collected voluntary contributions<br />
throughout the pledge month. This was a wonderful event<br />
for a wonderful cause!
