how do i sign up for a meal plan?
When you applied online for Texas A&M University
housing, you also selected a dining plan. You may
upgrade to a different plan by contacting University
Dining.
do i save money if i buy a meal plan?
Yes! A dining plan assures you will pay less than
retail value for all of your food purchases.
how do dining dollars work?
$1 Dining Dollar equals $1 cash. Dining Dollars can
be used to purchase meals at our dining centers for
a discounted rate or as “cash” in other on-campus
venues, where you will receive a 10 percent discount
on your purchases.

You have a dining plan that provides increased
value and flexibility for dining on campus. Your
dining plan consists of Dining Dollars, which are
credits in your account on your Aggie ID. They can
be used to purchase a meal at our dining centers
for a discounted rate or as “cash” in other venues,
where you will receive a 10 percent discount on
your purchases. For a complete listing of dining

tamu.edu. In addition to Dining Dollars, all Dining
locations accept cash and major debit and credit
cards; however, there are no discounts offered with
these forms of payment.
when can i use my meal plan?
Meals are served seven days a week, from morning
to evening, at a variety of locations around campus.
Most dining facilities are open from the first movein
day for residence halls until the Friday following
final exams (may exclude university holidays). Hours
and location availability vary between semesters
and during the summer. For current hours of operation,

where can i use my meal plan?
There are over 30 dining locations throughout
main and west campuses. Dining Dollars are
accepted at all campus dining locations.
Can i buy anything other than food with
dining dollars?
No. Dining Dollars may be used only for food and
beverage purchases in on-campus dining facilities.
