Beginning fall 2012, freshmen living <strong>on</strong> campus<br />
will be required to have a minimum $1200 per<br />
semester dining plan.<br />

With c<strong>on</strong>venient locati<strong>on</strong>s near residence halls<br />
and classrooms, there are many opti<strong>on</strong>s available<br />
in a variety <strong>of</strong> formats — food courts, snack bars,<br />
c<strong>of</strong>fee shops, all-you-can-eat dining centers and<br />
c<strong>on</strong>venience stores. University Dining is here to<br />

how do i sign up for a meal plan?<br />
When you applied <strong>on</strong>line for <strong>Texas</strong> A&M University<br />
housing, you also selected a dining plan. You may<br />
upgrade to a different plan by c<strong>on</strong>tacting University<br />
Dining.<br />
do i save m<strong>on</strong>ey if i buy a meal plan?<br />
Yes! A dining plan assures you will pay less than<br />
retail value for all <strong>of</strong> your food purchases.<br />
how do dining dollars work?<br />
$1 Dining Dollar equals $1 cash. Dining Dollars can<br />
be used to purchase meals at our dining centers for<br />
a discounted rate or as “cash” in other <strong>on</strong>-campus<br />
venues, where you will receive a 10 percent discount<br />
<strong>on</strong> your purchases.<br />

dining plan c<strong>on</strong>sists <strong>of</strong> Dining Dollars, which are<br />
credits in your account <strong>on</strong> your Aggie ID. They can<br />
be used to purchase a meal at our dining centers<br />
for a discounted rate or as “cash” in other venues,<br />
where you will receive a 10 percent discount <strong>on</strong><br />
your purchases. For a complete listing <strong>of</strong> dining<br />

locati<strong>on</strong>s accept cash and major debit and credit<br />

Meals are served seven days a week, from morning<br />
to evening, at a variety <strong>of</strong> locati<strong>on</strong>s around campus.<br />
Most dining facilities are open from the first movein<br />
day for residence halls until the Friday following<br />
final exams (may exclude university holidays). Hours<br />
and locati<strong>on</strong> availability vary between semesters<br />

where can i use my meal plan?<br />
There are over 30 dining locati<strong>on</strong>s throughout<br />
main and west campuses. Dining Dollars are<br />

Can i buy anything other than food with<br />
dining dollars?<br />
No. Dining Dollars may be used <strong>on</strong>ly for food and<br />
beverage purchases in <strong>on</strong>-campus dining facilities.
