12 Latest company news Europe vital for Group success 10 th meeting of sales managers of FUCHS EUROPE in Mannheim 28 participants attended the 10th meeting of sales managers in Europe under the stewardship of Dr. Ralph Rheinboldt (4th from left). At the end of February, 28 participants from all over Europe came to the 10 th meeting of sales managers held in Mannheim under the stewardship of Dr. Ralph Rheinboldt. Frank Kleinman and Klaus Heinlein The FUCHS LUBRITECH managers from all over the world met at Leinsweiler in Germany’s Palatinate region. In Leinsweiler, on Germany’s Southern Wine Route, the 10 th global management meeting of the internationally positioned FUCHS LUBRITECH Group was held from 2 to 4 May. From the Group, Stefan Fuchs, who has been responsible within the Group for the FUCHS LUBRITECH (FLT) Group since the beginning of the year, and Dr. Lutz Lindemann attended the meeting. The prize for the biggest percentage rise in gross yield compared with the previous year was won by Nikolai Kuznetsov (Russia), who was only taking part in the competition for the second time – but on both occasions managed to take an award back home with him to Moscow. The prize for the biggest percentage increase over a period of three years was presented to Markus Mencke (PARAFLUID Germany). The main focus of the event was on the challenges and projects for 2010. Stefan Fuchs praised the importance of the Europe region in the success of the Group and emphasized the need for organic growth coupled with a consistent pricing policy and disciplined cost management. informing managing directors and responsible divisional heads in the various companies and divisions directly and presenting to one another the national, local and sector-specific projects and objectives. In workshops relating to the various FLT core segments, the participants discussed the opportunities for business development and expansion and the implementation of comprehensive strategies. The “new colleagues”, Parag Dongare (FLT India Division), Hendrik Noth (FLT USA Division) and Zhou Likang (FLT China Division) too were also able to gain a comprehensive impression of the areas of business which will need to be managed in the future and learn information from their colleagues first hand. In terms of content, important and necessary steps were decided upon for promoting and supporting further business development, for example in wind power, rail transport and the food industry. From an emotional point of view, the highlight of the meeting was the visit of L. Frank Kleinman (former FUCHS Board member and responsible for the FLT Group until 2009) and Klaus Heinlein (managing director of FLT GmbH until the end of 2009) in the afternoon and on the evening of 3 May. The FLT Global Team bid farewell to both managers, wishing them a well-deserved retirement.

Their name stands for outstanding design and powerful engines demanding top engine oil performance. That is why all vehicles and engines leaving the Carlsson factory are initially filled with TITAN GT1 engine oils by FUCHS.” According to Carlsson, the outstanding reliability and performance of Titan GT1 engine oils especially on the race track was decisive for the choice as initial filling oil. At the joint stand of the German Association for Motor Trades and Repairs (ZDK) and FUCHS at the AMITEX trade fair in Leipzig in April, Carlsson presented one of their new vehicles: the Carlsson CD35 on the basis of the Mercedes-Benz E class E350 CDI. At the Automechanika in Frankfurt in September, FUCHS and Carlsson will participate in the fairground rally with a top-class vehicle. Initially filled with TITAN GT1 engine oil: the new Carlsson C25 – a top-class vehicle with 753 HP, a torque of 1,150 Nm and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds.
