advice than ever before. Providing the
opportunity for visitors to receive free direct
advice on your AD project or plans, ADBA is
introducing a Professional AD Clinics feature area
to the show floor.
Those about to embark on a project or interested
in getting a second opinion on an AD project you
are already working on will be able to receive 20
Farmers’ Consultancy Clinic
The farmers’ consultancy clinic manned by
ADBA’s panel of consultants from the free
Farmers’ Consultancy service will offer free
expert advice to anyone interested in an on-farm
AD plant to see if AD can work for them and
help generate a new income stream, produce
renewable fertiliser and reduce emissions.
The dedicated Farmers’ Consultancy service,

The finance clinic, manned by Compass
Renewables, will help visitors gain some crucial
advice and information on how to approach the
issue of securing finance for their AD project.

investment in AD, biogas and waste treatment
infrastructure. Dedicated to helping visitors
getting your contracts right and avoiding
common pitfalls, our legal experts will offer you
with some invaluable tips for your project. The
clinic sessions will provide visitors with a free

Whether you are interested in small or large scale AD,
forming a joint venture or getting your waste collected
and sent off to AD, the clinics are there to provide
advice on any type of question. ADBA’s aim is for the
clinics to provide the information necessary to help
visitors decide whether to proceed from their initial
interest into developing an actual project, how to
avoid the common pitfalls and ensure the best results.

Funding renewable energy is not a
straightforward process. The sessions aim to
address the issues that can over-complicate the
process, including:
• Addressing the subject of funding too late
• Approaching the wrong funders
• Approaching the issue in the wrong way

sector that can be tricky to negotiate including
contract structures, EPC contracts and security
packages, local authority AD projects, feedstock
supply contracting, technology risk issues,
tendering and procurement, site acquisition and
property issues, how to manage a joint venture,
