Claire is an environmentalist by experience with a<br />
background in both private and public sector delivery.<br />
she joined WRAP in 2006 with responsibility for procurement and state<br />
Aid and since then, has helped to deliver over three quarters of a million<br />
tonnes of new capacity for green and food waste recycling. Claire now leads<br />
WRAP’s work on infrastructure development as well as providing technical<br />
and strategic support to WRAP’s stakeholders.<br />

Alison spent six years in the soft drinks sector as both a<br />
technical project manager and operations manager. she<br />
completed an Msc in Renewable Energy systems Technology, specialising in<br />
biogas utilisation and has since worked for CNg services on biogas cleanup,<br />
upgrading and injection projects. she also works for Norfolk County<br />
Council as part of the BioMAsTER team.<br />

Jos van Buijtenen holds an Msc from Delft University<br />
of Technology, where he specialized in gas turbines. He<br />
served several companies as R&D engineer and manager and holds the<br />
Chair of gas Turbines at Delft University since 1990. in 2001 he established<br />
Triogen BV, for the development of a unique organic Rankine Cycle system.<br />

2007 as managing director. Material Change has eight<br />
compost sites including one iVC facility and processed 140,000 tonnes of<br />
food and green waste last year. in 2012, Ed oversaw the company’s first<br />
1.4MW <strong>AD</strong> plant installation at symonds Farm, suffolk, completed on time<br />
and on budget. Material Change are UK sales agents of Agraferm <strong>AD</strong> plants.<br />

steve is business team manager for REHAU’s renewable<br />
energy department, which covers REHAU’s district heating<br />
and anaerobic digestion solutions. REHAU are one of the market leaders in<br />
district heating pipework and are now the first company to manufacture<br />
pre-insulated district heating pipe in the UK.<br />

Henry Robinson has farmed in gloucestershire since<br />
1978. He chaired the Rural issues Task Force for 10 years,<br />
sat on gloucestershire First and the Rural Economic Advisory Panel. He<br />
joined the ClA Council in 1999; and has chaired the gloucestershire Branch,<br />
the Business and Rural Economy and the Environment National Committees.<br />
He was Vice President from November 2009 and became Deputy President in<br />
November 2011.<br />

Cath, a chartered surveyor, has been involved in a wide<br />
range of <strong>AD</strong> projects advising on all aspects, including<br />
feasibility, due diligence, feedstock and digestate agreements, planning &<br />
permitting. Cath developed her specialism in <strong>AD</strong> before joining Bidwells in<br />
2009 by a year undertaking research and consultancy work for Anagest ltd.<br />
Cath grew up on a 2,350 acre arable farm.<br />

Entered the anaerobic digestion fielding 2003 when he<br />
joined Biothane systems international. After the takeover<br />
of Biothane by Veolia in 2008 HydroThane was set up in the Netherlands.<br />
Urbancharge ltd became the sole licence holder of the HydroThane<br />
technologies in the UK and ireland and now trade as HydroThane UK.<br />

Ray Burberry has been with WAMiTAB since 1995<br />
and involved with the development of the Technical<br />
Competence scheme for Anaerobic Digestion since the Environmental<br />
Permitting Regulations were introduced in 2007. WAMiTAB and CiWM<br />
operate one of two schemes approved by DEFRA to provide competence<br />
qualifications for the industry.<br />

appropriate treatment technology. Anna is a member of CiWM and CiWEM.
