Fourth <strong>of</strong> July Weekend Starts In Style<br />

The Fourth <strong>of</strong> July holiday weekend got <strong>of</strong>f to a rousing start<br />
as 142 members and guests arrived at The Way-Point Café<br />
for our Camarillo Breakfast. Seventy-two Porsches graced<br />
the lawn adjacent to the patio, including the twin Carrera GTs<br />
belonging to Tony & Rick Principe <strong>of</strong> Westlake Village (see cover).<br />
It’s always a treat to see one <strong>of</strong> the Porsche supercars in person; it’s<br />
especially fun to see two at once.<br />
SBR President Bill Sampson welcomed everyone and<br />
introduced Membership Chair Janice Herndon. Janice recognized<br />
new members Ron & Lavelle Consiglio <strong>of</strong> Oxnard and Tom &<br />
Audi Marshall <strong>of</strong> Camarillo. Also joining us for breakfast were<br />
prospective members James Bretherton <strong>of</strong> Westlake Village and<br />
Mike Siroll with his daughter, Maggie, from Santa Clarita. Also,<br />
from the Los Angeles Region, Jason, Justine and Joshua Zimmel<br />
from Canoga Park were among the guests.<br />
Activities Co-Chairs Doreen Pankow and Ted Lighthizer<br />
promoted the many upcoming SBR events (see page 26), reminding<br />
everyone to sign up early as our activities fill to capacity quickly.<br />
Another great breakfast meeting with more to come next<br />
weekend in Santa Barbara. =<br />
