Bhaba Atomic <strong>Research</strong> Centre {BARC)/Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB). The<br />
locatron, alignment and equipmentation of the nuclear medicine laboratory will be as pe;<br />
the guidelines, laid down by Radiation medicine Center and Division of Radtotogl'cat<br />
Protection, BARC. The different areas will be differentiated as per AERB specificationl<br />
itke cold lukewarm warm and hot will be done and adequate protection measures will be<br />
adopted. Two isolation units proposed with a design capacity of treattng average of one<br />
person/ unit for two - three days per week would be provided. The 450 cum capacity oJ<br />
sewage treatment plant located near the IPU block would be constructed. The treated<br />
eflluent would be dis-infected by using Ozone. Hot water thought solar heaters and sotai<br />
street lighting system would be adopted. Energy saving measures in conformance with<br />
ECBC guidelines would be complied. Adequate fire fighting systems wouid be provided.<br />
About 7 ha (34.7%) of the total project area has been designated for green areas. Green<br />
area has been designed to achieve a blend between modern building and varrous species<br />
of plants, shrubs, to create a clean, healthy and aesthetic environment. A combination oi<br />
evergreen trees and ornamental flowering trees, shrubs and palms will be used in lhg<br />
complex. Cost of the project is Rs. 350.00 Crores.<br />

SEIAA, Chhattisgarh perused the proposalirnformation/documents submitted bv<br />
the project proponent in the 15th meeting held on 30/06/2010. After deliberation thi<br />
SEIAA, Chhattisgarh unanimously accepted the recommendation of SEAC, Chhattisgarh<br />
and decided to grant prior environmental clearance for construction of a 350 beded<br />
Cancer Hospital and <strong>Research</strong> Center at Sector - 36, Naya Raipur (Gram - Uphara g<br />
Khapri) <strong>Dist</strong>rict - Raipur, Chhattisgarh proposed by the <strong>Vedanta</strong> Medical <strong>Research</strong><br />
<strong>Foundation</strong>, through Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO) subject to strict<br />
compliance of the terms and conditions mentioned below .-<br />
PART A _ SPECIFIC CONDITIONS<br />
l" Construction Phase<br />
i) The construction of 350 beded Cancer Hospital and <strong>Research</strong> Centre shall<br />
carried out as per approved building drawings / Bhavan Nirman Anugya issued<br />
Naya Raipur Development Authority, Raipur vide letter dated 151A2110<br />
ri) Facility of Labourers during Construction. -<br />
ti,) Construction camp and temporary labour sheds shall be located away from the<br />
construction site. Construction camps shall be provided for construction personnel<br />
to avoid indiscriminate settlement of construction workers and labourers.<br />
iv) Provision of drinking water, wastewater disposal, solid r,vastes management and<br />
primary health facilities shall be ensured for labour camps. Proper sanitation<br />
