2.Function Information<br />

This chapter provides an alphabetical reference to the functions in the <strong>Global</strong> <strong>Call</strong> library. A<br />

general description of the function syntax convention is provided before the detailed function<br />

information.<br />

Note: Unless otherwise indicated, the functions described in this chapter are available for application<br />

development on all supported platforms and technologies. See the “Platform and Technology” line<br />

in the function header table of each function for specific platform and technology applicability.<br />

All function prototypes are in the gclib.h header file.<br />

2.1 Function Syntax Conventions<br />

The <strong>Global</strong> <strong>Call</strong> functions use the following format:<br />

int gc_function(reference, param1, param2, …, paramN, mode)<br />

where:<br />

int<br />

represents an integer return value that indicates if the function succeeded or failed. Possible<br />

values are:<br />

0 if the function succeeds<br />
