interspersed between chrome
discs and gears, and topped
with a Cadillac tail light,

281 STEVE HELLER'S VALIANT I TECHNO ART ROBOT
Built from stainless steel and chrome plated
automotive parts, Prince Valiant
is a one of a kind space-age
incarnation by none other than
the incomparable Steve Heller;
fitted with his Valiant
"badge", the prince of
all robots is also
comprised of DeSoto
dashboard gauges, Lincoln
hubcaps, and wrench fingers
for his march through time;
given the "spark of life" through
electricity, Valiant has many lighted
dials and gauges to amuse the
senses, standing 5' 4" tall to the top
of his head, his antenna reaches
further skyward, Valiant is a techno
marvel and ahead of his time.
282 STEVE HELLER'S STEVE-E TECHNO ART ROBOT
Steve-E is a tractor-driven
robotic Mr. Fix-it with
adjustible wrench hands,
drill bits, screw driver and
even a saw; his head is an
early car headlight, although
Steve-E is timeless;
standing 16" tall and 12"
long, Steve-E is a bot
with an attitude, so don't
get in his way!
283 MR. FITZ-RITE CHEVROLET MASCOT DISPLAY
In the 1930's, '40's and
'50's Chevrolet used Mr.
Fitz-Rite as a mascot for
genuine Chevy parts,
GM created a diecast
head for the Mr. Fitz-Rite
character, and display
mascots were created
from the head and
Chevrolet car parts for
promotional purposes;
an original Mr. Fitz-Rite
head was re-cast, and this
display was made in
a similar fashion, using
valve springs, valves,
and rocker arms; eventually the mechanical robot-like Mr. Fitz-Rite
was replaced by the human Mr. Goodwrench as the "face" of
Chevrolet parts and service; great looking display with terrific
attention to detail, approx. 12" tall; NM
