1933, 36mm; bronze; obverse: portraits in profile of Hindenburg and Adolf<br />

Hitler, text: Hindenburg Hitler 30-1-1933 - 5-3-1933; reverse depicts<br />

image of shaking hands with text that translates to: “for a free, united and<br />

proud Germany; relevance: Hindenburg and Hitler, sitting in a tree, k-is-s-i-n-g<br />

(just kidding); this medal commemorates the unhappy alliance<br />

between Hindenburg and Hitler as he is appointed as Chancellor; as the<br />

aristocratic Hindenburg did not realize that Hitler was not going to serve<br />

as a mouthpiece, but would later prove to become Nazi party leader and<br />

all-around bad idea; very minor wear to patina in high spots, VF<br />

1059 SIGNING OF GREAT WAR ARMISTICE 1918<br />

portrait of F. Foch, Commander in Chief of Allies with lettering: F.<br />

Rethondes in the Compiegne forrest, which is where the Armistice agreement<br />

was signed; lettered Rethondes Asignature de L’Armistice 8 - 11<br />

Novembre 1918; medallion commemorates historic signing of World War<br />

I Armistice treaty, which so humiliated Germany that when Nazi dictator<br />

Adolf Hitler took France during his march to power, he forced the French<br />
