One of NDSU’s nine OUTDOOR ALL-AMERICANS in <strong>2003</strong> was NCAA decathlon<br />

champion Nate Schmidt, at left. Others were Andrew Aakre (3rd, decathlon); Peter Stuart (7th, 400h);<br />

Tom Heilman (6th, vault); Allen Burrell (8th, 100); and the quartet of Marques Johnson, Luke Mosey,<br />

Terrance Wolbaum and Jared Essler, which finished 2nd in the 1,600 relay.<br />

Relays that clocked in at 7:36.71...High School: Had a record-breaking<br />

prep career at St. Charles High, running from 100 to 800 meters plus<br />
