NDSU’s facilities are among the top in the nation. New and revamped ARENAS AND FIELDS costing in excess of $57 million have been installed in the last 11 years. Plans are underway for renovations to the Bison Sports Arena, where NDSU hosts its home indoor track & field meets. Facilities “World-Class Arenas Spotlight Top-Flight Programs” Basketball is held at the Bison Sports Arena where NDSU has led the nation numerous times in men’s and women’s basketball attendance. The Bison have three full grass practice fields for football (above) adjacent to the Bison Sports Arena. The Bison also use the artificial turf of Dacotah Field (at right). The Ellig Sports Complex has been the site of numerous North Central Conference and NCAA championships. Schlanser Track (at left) is home to the Bison track & field teams and the women’s soccer team, and the NDSU softball team plays on one of the complex’s four diamonds (below). The Bison have continually been among the TOP DRAWS IN THE NATION in Division II football, men’s and women’s basketball, and volleyball. The women’s basketball program has led the nation in attendance 11 times in the past 14 years, while the men’s team has paced the nation four times in school history. Football has led the nation in attendance four times in the past 15 seasons. Volleyball is a regular in the top five for Division II and ranks high among all NCAA schools. The Bison play baseball at Newman Outdoor Field, a $5.5 million oncampus facility with seating for 5,000 fans. The NDSU wrestling team holds meets in the Bison Sports Arena where numerous NCAA national championships have been held and the Bison have drawn as many as 6,500 fans for a dual with Iowa.
