THE EMBER DAYS are a Christian indie-rock<br />

worship band from Auckland, New Zealand. “Your<br />

Eyes Light Up [EP]” (2007), and “The Ember Days<br />

(Self-Titled)” (2008), and “Finger Painting [EP]”<br />

(2010) are all independently released and available<br />

from The Ember Days. The band take their name<br />

from an ancient Anglican tradition that set aside three days every<br />

season for fasting and prayer. The Ember Days have toured extensively<br />

with fellow New Zealand bands All Left Out, Arms Reach, and<br />

Mumsdollar. In addition, they have toured the United States with<br />

Showbread and The Glorious Unseen, and have also played at various<br />

festivals including Cornerstone, In His Honour, Parachute, Revelation<br />

Generation, SamStock, Sonshine, Soulfest, and Spirit west Coast<br />

KuDSI ERGuNER is an author, musician master of<br />

the traditional Mevlevi Sufi music and ney flute<br />

virtuoso from Istanbul, Turkey. He has performed<br />

with Peter Gabriel, George Aperghis, Maurice<br />

Béjart, Peter Brook, Carolyn Carlson, Didier<br />

Lockwood, Mark Minkovsky, and Bob wilson. Kudsi<br />

Erguner now lives and works as an author, composer, musician,<br />

musicologist, teacher, and translator in Paris, France. His album<br />

“works Of Kemani Tatyos Efendi” (1996), and “Vocal Masterpieces Of<br />

Kemani Tatyos Efendi” (1996) are both available from Traditional<br />
