The theatre was built in 1892 by the Polish architect Jan Zawiejski. Whilst the size of the theatre may be modest compared to the Parisian opera house, the interior is no less exquisite. The stage curtain alone is a work of art, and this was painted by Henryk Siermiradzki. Currently the theatre can be rented for conferences, congresses and banquets. Banquets and galas can be organised in the foyer but as well in the audience hall where the chairs can be dismantled for the purpose of a gala dinner. The theatre is perceived as an “exclusive hall of Cracow” and the place for elite meetings. Two outbuildings also belong to this historic complex. In the spring of 1998 one of the Villa's outbuildings, Łaski House, named after one of the friends of Justus Decius, was opened after a thorough renovation. The Villa Decius interiors are not only excellent scenery for receptions and conferences. There are a lot of concerts, exhibitions, performances, lectures and other cultural and educational events. Here, gardens

The cultural tradition of this place has its roots in a distance past. Between 1545 and 1550 the Great Crown Chancellor, the Bishop of Cracow, Samuel Maciejowski built here a magnificent summer residence. The residence resembled Italian villa as far as the architecture and function were concerned. Today the culture centre offers its nice interiors for events, meetings and variety of cultural and educational activities.
