The house where the famous Cracovian restaurant
Wentzl is located was built in 1635 by very rich townspeople - Cellarich. This is one
of the biggest tenements at the Market Square. This house was rebuilt couple of
times - in 1718, later to a large extent in 1937 according to the project of the
architect Maczynski and this state we can admire today. The tenement was lately
renovated in middle 90's - thanks to that its bright facade is magnificently exposed in
Market Square.
