OPERATING PROCEDURE PHOTOS
Defrost heater
Raise and fix the evaporator with care not to bend the
pipe. Take out the deforst heater before taking out the
drip tray (See photo 5.)
CAUTION ON ASSEMBLY
Insert the fan into the fan motor shaft until it reaches
the base of the shaft, and then rotate the fan gently
with your fingers to check its operation.
Securely attach the defrost heater in the correct
direction, slacking the lead wire to prevent water from
entering the glass tube.
Attach the drip tray close up to the inside box.
Be sure to attach the thermal fuse to the correct
position.Securely attach the lead wire to the fixture.
(1) Remove the parts inside the refrigerator compartment
(Slide chilled case, Refrigerator compartment shelf (R),
Refrigerator Crystal shelff (RV) , Packing V, Vegetable
case.
Control penel duct R
(2) Remove 2 rivets and 3 screws in the upper part of the
control panel and pull it out toward you.
(See photo 6.)
(3) Remove the thermo dial (Refrigerator compartment)
and unlock the catches of the control panel (6 catches)
to separate the control panel and the duct R.
(See photo 7.)
Damper
(4) Peel off the tape from the joint of the duct R to
take out the damper.
CAUTION ON ASSEMBLY
Be sure to use new sealing materials and tape for
assembly.
Securely apply the tape to the joint to prevent cool
air leakage.
Cut the sealing tape attached to the duct R in 30 mm.
width and apply it to the joint of the duct R.
Securely connect the connector to prevent poor
contact.
7-2 HOW TO CHECK P.C BOARDS
MR-508M,508ML
MR-560M,560ML
(1) Precautions
Unplug unit before checking
If the control board box is opened with the refrigerator inside
cooled, dew will form on the control board, causing trouble such as
poor insulation.
The following cares must be taken when servicing.
1. Be sure to unplug the power cord before servicing.
2. Wipe away droplets on the control board box with dry cloth,
and dry it up before setting a new controller P.C board.
(2) How to check the control board and vicinity.
The control board box can be checked without opening the box.
Measure the voltage and resistance using 8 connectors outside
the box. How to check with connectors
1. Check for 240 V output during power POWER ON
ON. Make the pin No.7-9 of the 9-pin white connector as a
common pin, and measure the voltage between the common
pin and another pin.
Make sure that 240V AC is output
Note: The room light always has 240V
2. Check for "thermisots" output during power ON
3-pin white connector
Make the pin No.1 of the 3 pin white connector as a common
pin, and measure the voltage between the common
pin and another pin. POWER OFF
Make sure that 2-3V DC is output.
3.Check for weak current wiring during power OFF
3-pin white connector
Remove the connector, and measure the resistance across
-No.1 pin and No.2 pin to confirm the continuty for DEF thermistor.
-No.1 pin and No.3 pin to confirm the continuty for the Freezer thermistor.
