The center offers many activities that kids of all ages will enjoy. In addition to the center activities, dance, preschool, tumbling, and art classes are offered. The professional recreation staff offer a variety of activities and programs for children during the after school hours such as crafts, sports, games and special events. The center boasts a large game room with games such as foosball, pool and ping-pong. The center is also ideal for a meeting location for your group or a child’s next birthday party on a reservation basis. Well-presented and functual meeting rooms can be rented on a space-available, reservation basis for your next group meeting or special event! All ages are invited to visit our game room to play pool, foosball, ping-pong, air hockey or a variety of table and board games. Skate and Bike Clinics - Ages 7 - Adult Kennedy Skate Park offers clinics for rollerblading, scooters, BMX bikes and skateboarding! These 2 hour clinics focus on skill development and safety for all experience levels. A series of clinics can be purchased at a discounted rate or one at a time for $8.00 each. Clinics are offered for ages 7-adult. A Kennedy Skate Park ID card, elbow pads, kneepads, and a helmet are required for participation. Please call Kennedy Center at 441-1676 for more information. RENETTE CENTER & PARK 935 South Emerald Avenue, 441-1678 Recreation Services Supervisor: Teresa Suzanne Walker Hours: Monday-Friday, 2:00-9:30pm; Saturdays 12:00pm-4:00pm Visit Renette Park Recreation Center with a brand new look! Recently renovated with Community Development Block Grant funds, this 40-year old facility has been recently remodeled to include a new HVAC system; ADA accessible spaces and an overall new look for the community to enjoy. Renette Park Recreation Center includes meeting spaces, a large dance studio, gymnasium, game room and houses the citywide Instructional Division Office. The park includes a colorful playground, skate plaza, outdoor basketball courts and large playing fields. Come enjoy the new and improved Renette Park Recreation Center today. The sidewalk that encircles the park is ideal for walkers and joggers. The wide-open space is perfect for family picnics and gatherings. The off-leash dog area is a place where dogs can meet other dogs and have a good time. We have one area for little dogs and another area for big dogs to run freely. See page 36 for more details.
