350 Aboriginal high school students from
throughout the Okanagan visited the UBC Okanagan
campus on Thursday, May 6 th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
for the 16th Annual Aboriginal Career Fair.
The Aboriginal Career Fair was designed for
Aboriginal high school students and the
objective was to provide students with career
information, connect them with Aboriginal role
models in various career fields, and celebrate
Okanagan and Aboriginal cultures.
The Career Fair was organized by the
Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society, Okanagan
College and UBC, and featured open displays,
presentations, activities and seminars, with
an Opening Ceremony and keynote speakers.
The day's festivities include drumming,
singing and dancing performances, career
and employment booths and a barbecue. �
Students are provided with information on
he Nursing Program at UBC Okanagan.
