9. The greatest care will be taken for all animals, but the show will not be responsible for any accident, mistake,
loss or damage from whatever arises. All animals shall be exhibited in their natural condition.
10. No cards or inscriptions will be allowed on coops until after judging has been completed.
11. A meat class is comprised of 3 rabbits not less than 3 lbs and not over 5 lbs each. Uniformity is a must.
12. All animals will be checked the day of the show. Any stock showing signs of disease will be removed from
the show. Please stay with animals until check-in and in proper coops.
13. Show official’s word is final. Anyone disagreeing in abusive or unpleasant manner will have rabbits
removed from show and premiums will be forfeited.
14. No Does with litters or pregnant Does will be allowed in show.
15. No animals under 3 months old.
16. Exhibits can NOT be removed until 12:01 a.m. mid-night, Sunday, July 29, 2012 Release of rabbits due to
extremely hot weather will be at the discretion of show Chairman with the approval of the Fair Board.
17. All exhibitors must clean cage daily and dispose of refuse properly. This will be strictly enforced.
18. Ribbons and awards will be presented after the show on Sunday, July 22, 2012.
19. Rabbits must be permanently earmarked in the left ear one week prior to show. If any questions, please
contact Mary Cooling (410) 708-3905 evenings. 4-Hers will not be charged for this service.
20. No more than 4 entries per individual per class.
21. Exhibitors will be responsible for bringing food and water containers that cannot flip.
22. Meat rabbits must be under 70 days of age and weigh between 3 and 5 pounds each.
23. As with any 4-H animal project, your rabbits are your responsibility. 4-H members are required to clean their
cages daily. Un-kept cages will result in the removal of the rabbit(s) from the fairgrounds. If your animals are
asked to be removed it may result in the loss of your premium money. Your rabbit projects are on display for the
public; if you cannot make the committment to care for your rabbits you need to make other arrangements.
24. Exhibitors must complete a self certification of rabbit/cavy health form and present it to the animal health
committee upon arrival/entry to the fairgrounds.
25. Animals will not be broken down as to color, unless there are 10 or more per sex and color.
26. The Cecil County Fair Board encourages all 4-H and open class participants to market themselves and their
products, but animals and products entered into the competition at the Fair are NOT to be sold and leave the
fairgrounds during the Fair week. Animals which are not entered in Fair classes will not be permitted on
the fairgrounds at any time, for the health and safety of all exhibitors’ animals. Please contact your barn
chairperson if you have questions.
