Tractor pull rules: lawn tractors

LAWN TRACTOR PULL RULES
1. Contest open to 2 wheel drive, rear wheel drive
rubber tired tractors. No recapped tires, no dual
wheels, no chains, studs or paddle tires permitted.
2. All vehicles are subject to safety and rule compliance
inspection by track officials.
3. Any competitor refusing to have their vehicle
inspected shall not be permitted to enter and/or pull
in the class in question until legality is established.
4. It is mandatory that all drivers attend the drivers
meeting held before the start of the event.
5. No portion of the tractor may interfere with the
hitch of the sled. The chain and kill switch cord must
be easily hookable without inference. (Provided they
don’t cause interference, weight brackets/weights may
extend a maximum of 6 inches behind the rear tire.)
6. No vehicle may exceed 6 feet in length, nor shall
any portion extend more than 8 feet in front from the
center of the rear axle.
7. Judgement calls by track officials are final and
not subject to appeal. Any disputes may be handled
after the pulling event is over in a friendly manner.
8. The engine may not be used as a primary support
structure for the vehicle, nor may it be made as
part of the frame.
9. All vehicles must be operated in a safe manner.
10. Driver will remain in the seat for the duration
of the pull event.

11. Flagman can, and will stop, any pull attempt
considered unsafe.
12. Young drivers must show that they have experience
operating the tractor they are about to pull.
They will demonstrate this by driving the tractor
safely to the weigh in scale and to the sled for hookup.
A parent is expected to remain along side their child
during the process.
13. At no time will a tractor be left running unattended.
14. Drivers of stock or stock altered tractors must
wear long pants, shirt, and covered foot shoes or
boots.
15. It is mandatory that the drivers of mini-rods
and modified tractors wear DOT/SNELL rated helmets
with chin straps fastened.
16. All vehicles must have functional brakes and
steering.
17. Anti-tip over bars (wheelie bars) are mandatory
for all vehicles.
18. All vehicles must have a drawbar that is stationary
in all directions with the hitching device not
being more than 3/4 inches in thickness, and must
have a 1 1/2 inch diameter opening. The pulling
point may not be more than 1/2 inch from the back
edge of the hitching device, parallel to and not more
than 13 inches above ground.
19. A kill switch is recommended for all tractors. A
kill switch is mandatory for modifieds and mini rods.
20. Battery and fuel tank shall be fastened securely.

KIDDIE GARDEN TRACTOR PULL
This kiddie garden tractor pull is for youth aged 12
and under. Tractors in this pull are STOCK only.
Rules are VERY STRICTLY ENFORCED.
TIRE SIZE limited to 23x10.50-12. Lawn mower
tires only. No ATV or cut tires will be allowed.
ENGINES governed 3600 r.p.m. at full throttle
maximum.
DRAW BAR height 10 inch maximum.
TRACTORS must have reverse gear.

EXHAUST discharge must be through a muffler.
PUMP GAS ONLY.
No carburetor to engine spacers or velocity stacks.
Choke plate must be installed and functional.
Younger children must be accompanied by parent
or guardian.

1000 lb. twin cylinder (20 hp and under)
