Periodic Table of the Elements, elementary children<br />

begin to learn about the more complex elements, their<br />

symbols, and how various elements are grouped together<br />

according to their properties. At the same time, children<br />

are looking <strong>for</strong> examples of common elements in their<br />

daily environment and beginning to research in<strong>for</strong>mation<br />

about the characteristics and uses of the elements.
