The Golden Acorn
by Catherine Cooper
Jack Brenin's life changes
the moment he finds a
golden acorn lying on the
grass. He gets caught up in
an extraordinary magical
adventure and enters a world he only
believed existed in legend. He's sure he's
been mistaken for someone else. He's
neither brave nor strong so how could he
be "The One" an ancient prophecy
speaks about? He's no idea why he's
expected to help, unsure if he wants to,
or even if he can.
Turn an everyday torch into a spooky
light projector.
You will need:
Torch
Paper
Scissors
Pencil
Double-sided sticky tape
1. Place the torch light-side down on
the paper and draw round the end of
the torch. This is the amount of
space you have to draw your image.
2. Draw an image in the circle. Keep it
simple like a bat, skull or ghost.
3. Cut the image and stick it to the light
end of the torch with double sided
sticky tape.
5. Turn out all the lights and turn your
light on and shine it onto a wall. The
image will be projected, the further
away from the wall the bigger the
image gets.
