Originally designed for divers in the
1950s, the Rolex Submariner watch
quickly became a symbol of prosperity
and luxury and has long been one of
the most recognizable watches in the market.
The watch has been part of expeditions

The new Submariner Emerald is a strong example
of such enduring greatness. In 2010,
Rolex has created a new classic in the Oyster
Perpetual Submariner Emerald set with 36
emeralds and 12 diamonds within its unidirectional
rotatable bezel, the Submariner is
an advanced version of the 2003 Green Submariner
version that was released in conjunction
with the model’s 50th anniversary.
The colour green, which is strongly associated
with the brand, is not only featured on the
bezel, but also within the dial where eight emeralds
are elegantly set as hour markers. The
entire case and bracelet is made in 18-carat
white gold, and true to its initial purpose, is
able to withstand the pressure of water to up
to 300 metres or 1,000 feet.
