resides in New Mexico and was<br />

recently promoted to district manager<br />

organization for counseling high<br />

school students to complete high<br />

Kevin Cordes (79D) and his<br />

wife, Ellen, had a baby girl, Nicole<br />

living in Tokyo, Japan, with their<br />

sons John and Christian. They’ve<br />

Dirk Schils announce the birth of<br />

their second son, Denis, born May 7,<br />

2002. Older brother Vincent (now 3<br />

Frank Plachecki (82B)<br />

just earned his Ph.D. from the<br />

University of Minnesota and has<br />

started a new career as a college<br />

marrow transplant for stage four<br />

lymphoma is working well and<br />

health is steady right now. Most of<br />

all, the spirit of UWP is alive, and<br />

Bogotá, Colombia, is working in<br />

tourism in Bogotá. She would like to<br />

work for a hotel on an island or by<br />

the sea where she can speak English.<br />

Darrell Pechtl (83A)<br />

started working as an assistant<br />

principal at Holtville High School in<br />

Holtville, California, this year. He<br />

found out on New Year’s Eve that he<br />

single and living in Chicago. She is<br />

(Keyser) Johnson (74A) are<br />

living in Boulder, Colorado with<br />

Myriam left her position as a school<br />

administrator 1.5 years ago and is<br />

now a realtor. Scott is starting on his<br />

fourth music CD which deals with<br />

personal and global transformation<br />

Thomas have two children, Marius<br />

(born in 1991) and Andreas (born in<br />

1994). She owns a shop in Ski,<br />

Norway, with Swedish paper and<br />

paper-related articles called Ordning<br />

which roughly means “putting things<br />

in order.” She hopes to be at the<br />

reunion this summer, and if anyone<br />

Mary Swetka (83D), after<br />

three years in Arkansas, was transferred<br />

north near Saint Louis,<br />

Missouri. She and her husband are<br />

settling in and enjoying the snow<br />

with their two dogs Blue and Elvis.<br />

Her next step is to find a job in retail<br />

management and asks if any local<br />

alums have any leads. They are also<br />

tossing around the idea of foster care<br />
