Dahl, Fort Riley, KS, are parents of a son,
Bradon Jareth Dahl, born March 4, 2010, at
Geary County Hospital in Junction City, KS.
2001 Karl and Emily (Olson) Ruotsala
of Ironwood are parents of a daughter, Aila
Rose Ruotsala.
2001 Jared Thompson and Rebecca
Miller ’03 of Bruce Crossing, MI, are parents of
a son, Cory Ross Thompson, born April 16,
2010, at Marquette General Hospital in
Marquette, MI.
2001 Brianne Rowe of Oshkosh, WI, and
Josh Lehrkamp of DesMoines, IA, were married
on September 5, 2009, at the Roncalli
Newman Catholic Center in LaCrosse, WI. The
couple resides in Oshkosh.
2002 Christine (Beauchamp) and
Robert Grzelak of Green Bay, WI, are parents
of a son, Brayden Robert Grzelak, born May 18,
2010, at Aurora Hospital in Green Bay.
2002 Carissa (Steiner) and Jason
Hofstede ’06 of Ironwood are parents of a
son, Isaac Joseph Hofstede, born February 22,
2010 at Grand View Hospital in Ironwood.
2002 Kimberly M. Kauppi and
Nicholas S. Trulen, both of Maple Grove, MN,
have announced their engagement. Kimberly
earned an Associate of Science degree in
Nursing at Gogebic. She earned a Bachelor of
Science degree in Nursing from the University
of St. Catherine this spring and she works at
the University of Minnesota Medical Center in
Minneapolis as a solid organ transplant nurse.
Nicholas earned a Bachelor’s Degree in
Business and Marketing from the University of
Minnesota in 2001 and is a regional sales manager
for Oracle in Minneapolis. A June 2011
wedding in Ironwood is planned.
2002 Sonni (King) and Scott Lauren of
Montreal, WI, are parents of a daughter, Avery
Kathryn Lauren, born July 5, 2010, at Grand
View Hospital in Ironwood.
2002 Anna (Breiler) and Glen
Pavlovich of Bessemer, MI, are parents of a
daughter, Veronica Wilhelmina Pavlovich, born
October 7, 2010, at Aspirus Grand View
Hospital in Ironwood.
2002 Kristi (Minkin) and Michael
Razmus of Superior, WI, are parents of a
daughter, Kenley Antonia, born March 12,
2010, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.
2002 Amy (Jacobson) Schimke
received her Associate of Science in Pre-
Medicine from GCC in 2002. She attended
MSU College of Medicine for two years and
transferred to University of Oklahoma College
of Mdicine, where she received her M.D. in
May, 2009. At that time, she also received a
promotion to Captain in the USAF. She is currently
stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB in
Dayton, Oh where she is finishing her first
year of internal medicine residency. Amy is
married to David Schimke (see below).
2002 David Schimke, II, received his
Associate of Science degree from GCC in
2002. He transferred to MTU where he
received a Bachelor of Science in engineering.
He spent four years at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma
City and is now stationed at WPAFB as a system
safety engineer for the C-130J. He was promoted
to Captain in the USAF in May, 2009.
He is currently working on a Master of Arts
degree in National Security Studies.

2002 Lindsay (Peterson) and Joel
Stafford of Hurley are the parents of a son,
Collin Scott Stafford, born February 15, 2010, at
the Howard Young Medical Center in
Woodruff, WI.
2003 Shannon and Kati (Strand)
Granato of New London, WI, are parents of a
daughter, Kaitlyn Junior Granato, born
February 12, 2010, at Thede Care in Neenah.
2003 Chad William Ludwig, Ironwood,
and Emily Marie Shuga, Washburn, WI, were
united in marriage on September 12, 2009, in
Washburn. For their honeymoon, the couple
completed the Lake Superior Circle Tour and
they now live in Iron River, WI.
2003 Micki (Zanella) and Jason Rowe
of Montreal, WI, are parents of a daughter,
Andee Roberta Rowe, born March 22, 2010, at
Grand View Hospital in Ironwood.
2003 Shelly (Worthington) Brauer of
Saxon, MI is a Middle School Special Education
Teacher in Mellen, Wisconsin. Shelly received
her Associate of Arts degree from GCC in 2003,
and her Bachelor of Science degree in
Elementary Education from UW-Stevens Point.
2004 Rebecca (Cayer) and William
Anderson of Bruce Crossing, MI, are parents
of a son, William John Edward Anderson, Jr.,
born May 7, 2010, at the Grand View Hospital.
2004 Michelle Louise Doney and Kurt
Allen Choronzy were married August 21,
2010, in Ironwood. Michelle earned her nursing
degree from Gogebic and now works at
Grand View Hospital in Ironwood. Kurt works
for Snow Country Hardwoods in Hurley, WI.
The couple lives in Bessemer, MI, with their
daughter Emma.
2004 Mark David Giackino and
Melissa Ann Cleveland of Abrams, WI, were
married August 7, 2010, in Ludington Park in
Escanaba, MI.
