SCOPE OF WORK TENDER NO :

Common shutdown jobs, Capital repair jobs and Maintenance of Heat
Exchangers in Utilities Department of VISAKHAPATNAM Steel Plant
After removing the molecular sieves, the mesh is to untied by removing the
SS wires at the edges.
The mesh, then, carefully rolled without folding, from one end and to be
removed from the drier bottle.
The mesh is to be placed at the location shown by VSP Engineer and
the damages, if any are to be repaired.
As decided by VSP engineer, either repaired (or) new mesh is to be fixed
back. Supply of new mesh is in VSP scope.
While filling the mesh, ensure that there are no foldings or damages to
the mesh. The mesh are to be tied to the bed carefully by SS wire at the
ends.
2.8 Technological assistance for upkeep of Manual valves (15 NB to 200
NB) (Item no.20 to 23 of BOQ)
Removal of valves from position (valves are installed in different
locations in ASU at different heights ranging from ground level up to
height of 30 meters)
Shifting of valve to maint. area, dismantling of valve, cleaning of
internals
Replacement of packing, bonnet gaskets etc
Lapping of valve seat if required
Assembling back of valve & greasing of spindle wherever required
Putting back the valve in position after changing the flange gaskets (new
gaskets are to be cut & replaced)
Leak checking
2.9 Scope of work for strl./sheeting repair (item no 24 & 25 of BOQ)
Contractor shall dismantle the damaged sheetings of the cold boxes of Air
Separation Units and replace it with new ones. Contractor shall erect
approach ladders, working platforms and walkways for safe operation and
maint. of indifferent units of Utilities dept. Most of the structural &
sheeting mainly consists of light structural (including GC sheets).
Old structures shall be dismantled where ever necessary. All the welding
joints and sheeting wherever necessary shall be painted immediately after
repair. The painting shall be one coat of red oxide primer plus two
finish coats of synthetic enamel. The entire work shall be done as per
the instructions of Engineer-in-charge or his authorised representative.
Contractor shall provide for adequate manpower to complete the job
with a qualified supervisor. The job involves working at different
heights ranging from +4.0m to +30.0m. The contractor shall make
arrangements for necessary scaffoldings etc.
2.10 Scope of work for piping replacement jobs(item nos: 26 to 31, 55 of
18 of 39 Signature of the Tenderer
