accounted for measurement.
c) Price estimate is based on 2 nos of weld runs ( viz root run and build
up run ) of a joint. If more than 2 weld runs are to be made on a joint ,
accounting shall be done on prorata basis.
d) All the jobs shall be carried out to the satisfaction of the Engineer -in
-- charge and he shall be the final authority for deciding completion of
job.
For item no.34 :
a)Party has to carry out radiography of weld joints as per the instructions
of Engineer-I/C or his representative
b)Party shall take approval of Engineer-I/C before selecting external
agency for radiography jobs
c)Party shall submit films & reports of radiographed joint within 2 days
(maximum) of taking of radiography
Scope of work for item no. 35 & 36 :
For item no. 35 : Ultra sonic thickness measurement is to be carried out
for pipelines, structures, equipment as per the direction of VSP engineer.
Machine will be provided by VSP.
For item no.36 : Power brushing of sheeting / structurals / vessels /
piping etc to be done as per direction of VSP Engineer. Power brushing
machine , consumables ( buffing wheels ), safety appliances like gloves,
goggles etc are in contractor's scope.
3.0 TECHNOLOGICAL ASSISTANCE FOR UPKEEP OF HEAT EXCHANGERS OF UTILITIES
DEPT.
3.1 General :
The objective of the repair contract is to carry out the chemical
cleaning of the exchangers of centrifugal turbo-compressors, motor
coolers and chillers of utilities dept as per the detailed
scope/specification given herein.
3.2 Introduction :
3.2.1 Centrifugal turbo-compressors of different makes/capacities are
installed in utilities department handling various fluids like air,
nitrogen, oxygen. Each compressor is equipped with shell and tube type
heat exchangers for inter stage cooling and oil coolers for cooling
lubricating oil.
3.2.2 The compressor motors are provided with motor cooler (shell and tube
type exchanger).
3.2.3 Chillers of voltas/ Sulzer make are installed and these are
equipped with condensers/evaporators.
3.2.4 The compressors and motors are enclosed in noisehood arrangement from
acoustic point of view. The noisehood arrangement consists of panels and
