AUCTION RULES
1) Everyone assigned a bidder number is eligible to bid in the silent and
live auction.
2) The live auction will begin at approximately 9:00 pm and continue until
all items are sold. If you wish to bid on an item in the live auction,
raise your bidder paddle. Auction spotters will help locate bids.
3) Remember, all sales are final. No exchanges or refunds except as
stated in any written material provided with merchandise sold. The
Athletic Foundation can be reached at (704) 687-4950 if you should
experience any problem in connection with an item or service you
purchase during the auction. In the event of loss, it is unlikely that a
duplicate gift certificate can be obtained.
4) All auction items must be removed from Halton Arena the night of the
auction at the purchaser’s own risk. The purchaser must arrange
pickup of any large item by 11:00 am on Sunday, June 5. The Athletic
Foundation will not assume responsibility for any items left after 11:00
am on Sunday, June 5.
5) Unless otherwise stated, all auction items and services must be used
within one year after June 4, 2011.
6) Item descriptions and/or restrictions on certificates may not be outlined
fully in the auction program. Be sure to read the certificates on display.
7) Successful bidders who pay more than the item is worth are allowed a
charitable tax deduction equal to the difference between the price they
pay and the fair market value of the item. Any dollar amount which
may be stated by the auctioneer or listed in the auction program as the
“value” of an item, service, or vacation being auctioned, has been
provided to the Athletic Foundation by the donor and is not warranted
by the Athletic Foundation for tax purposes.
8) Payments may be made with cash, checks, American Express, MasterCard
or Visa. Checks are to be made payable to the Charlotte 49ers Athletic
Foundation. Payment in full is mandatory the night of the Auction.
Express check-out is available and encouraged to assure you the most
expedient departure with your merchandise.
