Your journey into the future begins in the past with the practice of
alchemy which refers to the ancient quest for a fabled elixir capable of
transmuting lead into gold. Our spotlight is on molecular gastronomy, as
alchemy, chemistry and physics is at the core of this new age discipline.
Our culinary chemists will temp your palate with liquid nitrogen tomato
sorbet with vodka spiked balsamic air, fruit caviar over air whipped
cream, soy cannelloni with salmon, coriander and sesame tartar, crab claw
with lemon cloud, oyster Rockefeller on baguette and calamari with sous
vide marinara and sous vide beef tenderloin. Bacon and egg ice cream
anyone? For those not ready for a quantum leap into the future our mad
culinary team will temp you with hand rolled sushi with wasabi and
pickled ginger, ravioli with exotic mushrooms and grilled fingerling
potatoes with bleu cheese powder.
“THE BEST OF TIMES”
(LIVE AUCTION, ARENA FLOOR)
When you’re ready to head down to the arena floor and live auction get
ready to experience flashes from time travel. Each table will include a
timeless classic with a modern twist - deconstructed tournedos Oscar, beef
tenderloin medallion on toasted brioche garnished with crab, asparagus
and sauce Bérnaise. Dessert and coffee buffets will be featured on the
main arena floor and will include homemade apple-cinnamon poptarts
with caramelized brown sugar drizzle. Red velvet, German chocolate, and
Nutter Butter cake pops traditional favorites with a spin. Indulge in tiny
trifles and parfaits, lemon-blueberry cheesecake, tiramisu and brandied
strawberry clouds. Don’t miss the Belgian waffle rounds with caramelized
bananas, Nutella dust and fluffy marshmallow meringue.
BAR STATIONS
Numerous bar stations will be set throughout the silent and live auctions
and will feature beer, wine, soft drinks, mixed beverages and margaritas.
Bars located in the silent auction area will close at 8:00pm. Bars located
in the live auction area will close at 10:30pm. An “eco-friendly” coffee
service will be available in the Food Court area following the auction.
