Confident appearance at Bauma China
China is the ultimate growth
market. DEUTZ AG is also committed
to the Middle Kingdom
and in December 2006 joined
forces with FAW to create the
joint venture DEUTZ (Dalian)
Engine (DDE). Just how much
DEUTZ engines are in demand in
the Land of Smiles was demonstrated
at Bauma China, the
international trade fair for building
machinery, building material
machinery, construction vehicles
and construction equipment and
also the leading platform for the
construction industry in China
and Asia. 1,608 exhibitors from
30 countries showcased their
VINTAGE
Fire truck for the "Doskerkerls"
The "Doskerkerls" from Velen are lucky enough to count a very special
vehicle as their very own. They were able to save a 48-year-old
Magirius-Deutz tank fire truck from the scrap heap thanks to a private
sponsor.
On an exercise, Heinrich Hovermann, the head of the "Doskerkerls",
spotted the bright-red Magirus-Deutz with its dome bonnet and
immediately fell in love with it. The truck, which was built in 1961, had
already done 23,000 kilometres, but it no longer met today's technical
standards. When Hovermann learned that the fire brigade wanted
to get rid of the truck, the truck enthusiast decided to take over the
vintage vehicle for the "Doskerkerls" club. With the support of a private
sponsor, Hovermann managed to add a very special new member
to the club's collection. "We are thinking of including the truck at
markets and other events", says Hovermann.
goods and services at the end of
2008 in Shanghai, so of course
DEUTZ had to be there too!
DEUTZ AG showcased its product
portfolio at the trade fair,
which covered 210,000 square
metres and had around 113,000
registered visitors. The focus
was on the DEUTZ Dalian
Engines 2012 Stage 2 and 1013
Stage 2, as well as the engines
from the parent company for
the building machinery segment:
TD 2011 Stage 3, TCD 2012
Stage 3, TCD 2013 Stage 3 and
TCD 2015 Power Pack. Visitors
were highly interested in the
future technologies of DEUTZ AG,
In an impressive collection of agricultural machinery, the "threshers club"
shows off jewels of technology spanning more than 150 years. Its aim is to
preserve old agricultural equipment and machinery and present it in operation
to the public.
including solutions to comply
with the new exhaust stages.
The engines on display drew the
eyes of trade visitors and put the
TEST WINNER
Agrotron K: winner of
the comparison test
The Agrotron K is the economical classic
among tractors. A comparison test
by leading agricultural weekly publications
ranked the Agrotron K from
SAME DEUTZ-FAHR in the hard-fought
90-120 HP class as the absolute winner
in terms of performance and consumption.
The powerful and reliable Agrotron
K uses the tried-and-tested DEUTZ
2012 engine. The 4-cylinder powerhouse
gets its power from its 4 litre
cylinder capacity. While models K90,
K100 and K120 each have a 4-cylinder
engine under the bonnet, the Agrotron
K110 has a6-cylinder engine with 6.1
litres of cylinder capacity. Its constant
power range stands at 600 rpm, while
its maximum power is 1,700 rpm.
Compared to this, the 4-cylinder
engines deliver a constant power
range of just under 500 rpm. The new
K120 features a maximum engine
power of 88kW/120 HP – a performance
class in which SAME DEUTZ
FAHR has previously only been represented
with a 6-cylinder model. The
economical DEUTZ engines deliver an
output of 90 to 130 HP, while at
reduced engine speed the velocity is
40 to 50 km/h. Crucial factors in the
positive rating included not only the
low fuel consumption, but also the
transport and power take-off shaft
speeds plus extensive hydraulic equipment
and superlative user comfort.
