year 2010-<strong>11</strong>.<br />

84. Against the target of coverage of 55148 Out of School Children (OoSC) (7-14<br />

age group) in Alternative Innovative Education (AIE) centres during 2009-10, 61310 children<br />

have been admitted in 3056 AIE centres with 3084 Volunteers deployed therein. These children<br />

will be enrolled in formal school system immediately on the onset of the academic session 2010-<br />

<strong>11</strong>. Besides, 18634 OoSC (7-14 years age group) have been main streamed to regular schools.<br />

During House Hold Survey-2010-<strong>11</strong> to identify the OoSC, the <strong>State</strong> has identified 65422 OoSC<br />

of which 25053 (6-8 years), 18076 ( 8-<strong>11</strong> years) and 22293 (<strong>11</strong>-14 years).<br />

85. Under Centrally Sponsored Scheme “Rashtriya Madhyamik Sikhsha Abhiyan<br />

(75:25)” preparatory activities like strengthening of offices at the <strong>State</strong> and district level,<br />

strengthening of manpower, organizing workshops and seminars etc. have been started. 70<br />

Middle Schools are being upgraded to Secondary Schools. A provision of Rs 120 crore (GOI -<br />

Rs. 90 Cr + <strong>State</strong> - Rs. 30 Cr) is provided for the year 2010-<strong>11</strong>.<br />

86. The <strong>State</strong> Government has launched an ambitious project to impart Computer<br />

Education in Class 6 to 12 in the year 2004-05. 5415 schools have been covered under the<br />

project upto 2009-10. 7000 computer teachers have been recruited on contract basis and their<br />

salary revised from Rs 7000/- p.m to Rs. 10000/- p.m. 13.50 lac students are getting benefit<br />

from the project. A nominal fee of Rs. 30 is charged from students of classes 9 th and10 th and Rs<br />

35 from students of <strong>11</strong> th and 12 th classes per student per month. 700 schools will be covered<br />

during 2010-<strong>11</strong>. The <strong>State</strong> Govt. has made the study of computer a compulsory subject in class<br />

6 th to 12 th w.e.f. academic session 2009-10. A provision of Rs. 75 Cr is provided under ICT<br />

programme for the year 2010-<strong>11</strong>.<br />

87. <strong>State</strong> Government has launched NABARD approved EDUSAT programme on<br />

02/02/2010 with a total cost of Rs 95 crore to provide infrastructure for establishment of virtual/<br />

extended class-rooms in 1501 Government schools. Against NABARD share of Rs 65 crore, the<br />

<strong>State</strong> would contribute Rs 30 crore. The project will be completed by 31 st March, 20<strong>11</strong>.<br />

88. During 2010-<strong>11</strong>, the <strong>State</strong> Government would launch the Saakshar Bharat<br />

Mission-2012 as the National Mission for Female Literacy (NMFL) has been christened. Under<br />
