Recommendations <strong>for</strong> home adaptations may be made <strong>of</strong>ten in conjunction <strong>with</strong> the<br />
Community Occupational Therapist. The OT can be a useful source <strong>of</strong> in<strong>for</strong>mation on a<br />
wide range <strong>of</strong> equipment from special chairs, bath aids, toilet seats, wheelchairs, hoists, to<br />
pencils, scissors, adapted cutlery <strong>and</strong> specialised switches to access the computer.<br />
<strong>Children</strong> in <strong>Dundee</strong> <strong>and</strong> Angus can be referred to the service by a medical doctor<br />
(paediatrician, school doctor, G.P.). <strong>Children</strong> seen range in age from birth to school leaving<br />
age. They can be seen in a wide range <strong>of</strong> settings including Armistead Child Development<br />
Centre, Frances Wright Pre-School Centre, Kingspark School, nurseries, school <strong>and</strong> home.<br />
