THE UCLA INTERNET REPORT: Surveying the Digital Future 80 DO YOU TELL YOUR PARENTS EVERYTHING YOU DO ONLINE? Do children share all of their Internet experiences with their parents? The answer is “no.” More than half (55 percent) of children ages 12-15 say they do not tell their parents everything they do on the Internet. ADULTS AND INTERNET MONITORING Adults continue to be vigilant about Internet use by children in their households. As in 2000, adult respondents to the 2001 survey say they keep a close watch on children’s Internet use, limit online hours, or use software to filter or block questionable Web sites.
