Biography<br />
Duncan Stroik is a noted architectural educator and practitioner. He received his B.S. in<br />
architecture from the University of Virginia in 1984, and his M.Arch. from Yale in 1987. Since<br />
1990, he has helped to form and implement a new curriculum in classical architecture at the<br />
University of Notre Dame. His involvement in the new renaissance of sacred architecture<br />
has led to the formation of the Institute for Sacred Architecture and the Sacred Architecture<br />
Journal, of which he is editor.<br />
In addition to publishing and lecturing, Stroik has organized conferences on sacred<br />
architecture, led seminars in Italy, and has been featured on a number of television programs.<br />
He has designed projects for houses in New England, Chicago, and Ireland; churches in<br />
California, Nebraska, Arizona, Wisconsin, Texas, and Kentucky; as well as other civic buildings.<br />
Presently he is engaged in ecclesiastical projects for South Carolina, Illinois, Ohio, and<br />
Arizona. Stroik continues to develop his practice with a focus on sacred, residential, and civic<br />
architecture.<br />
