Edwards did it in dramatic fashion, racing into the lead in the final corner after Matt Kurtz suffered engine woes that denied a weekend sweep after taking his first win one night earlier. Edwards paced the opening seven circuits before Kurtz took command. Kurtz paced the field until losing power in the final corner, allowing Edwards to take the win. Kurtz limped across the stripe in second, with current series points leader Danny Martin, Jr., Bryn Gohn and Aubrey Black rounding out the top five. Martin and Matt Linder topped heat race action. In other events, Tony Knowles took the checkered flag in the Super Late Model feature, outrunning Craig Scott, Steven Endicott, Luther Jenkins and Lee Sutton, respectively. Chuck Padgett, meanwhile, captured the Crate Late Model victory. Scottie Pritchett finished in second, followed by Jimmy Long in third, Cass Fowler in fourth and Alan Brewer in fifth. In the Super Bomber feature, Chris Sizemore came away with the win. Greg Ledford finished as the runner-up, Roy Patterson placed third, Tony McDowell took fourth and Johnny Cloer, Jr. was fifth. Completing the list of winners, Justin Shipley won the Econo Bomber feature. Rounding out the top five were Daniel Brewer, Jeff Jacobs, Timmy Millwood and Johnny Morrison, respectively.
