Jesse Ewell, died unmarried, aged 22.<br />

Eleanor Mildred Beale Ewell, born March 7, 1832; died 1915,<br />

unmarried-<br />

Albert Mortimer Ewell, Confederate States Army, killed at Williamsburg,<br />

Va., April 16, 1862, unmarried.<br />

Charlotte Ewell, died young and unmarried.<br />

Nathaniel Mortimer Mc<strong>Gregor</strong>, planter and merchant, son <strong>of</strong><br />

John Smith Magruder and Eleanor Clarke, born Hall, was born January<br />

20, 1803, and licensed to marry Susan Euphemia Mitchell, December<br />

22, 1827.<br />

His will was made January 9, 1869, and probated in Prince<br />

George's County, Maryland, July 6, 1870. A life interest during<br />

widowhood in all his property was devised to his wife, to be divided<br />

at her death among his six children. The following legacies were to<br />

be paid before apportionment, daughter Susan Euphemia, $600 out<br />

<strong>of</strong> portion due daughter Mary Eliza so as to discharge testator's indebtedness<br />

to her on account <strong>of</strong> a legacy left by her uncle Roderick.<br />

Also $400 out <strong>of</strong> said daughter's share to grandson Jesse Ewell, <strong>the</strong><br />

advances already made Mary Eliza equaling <strong>the</strong> amounts mentioned<br />

to be transferred from her. Agnes Woods was to be paid $100 out<br />

<strong>of</strong> son Roderick's share, and $100 to daughter Isabella out <strong>of</strong> John<br />

Francis portion. Son Roderick M. Mc<strong>Gregor</strong> was named as executor<br />

without compensation.<br />

July 9, 1870, Roderick M. Mc<strong>Gregor</strong>, Mrs. Susan E. Mc<strong>Gregor</strong><br />

and Susan E. Mc<strong>Gregor</strong> gave bond in <strong>the</strong> sum <strong>of</strong> $3,000 for <strong>the</strong> first,<br />

named as executor.<br />

I have found no inventory <strong>of</strong> Nathaniel M. Mc<strong>Gregor</strong>'s personal<br />

estate, but on October 31, 1876, <strong>the</strong> executor filed his first and<br />

final account.<br />

Accountant charges himself with amount <strong>of</strong> inventory $ 666.25<br />

And with collections made 2,636.80<br />

Estate to be accounted for $3,303.05<br />

Disbursements 3,522.57<br />

Overpaid estate $ 219.52<br />

Susan Euphemia (Mitchell) Mc<strong>Gregor</strong> died intestate and without<br />

administration on her estate in January, 1894.<br />
