In Human History's range,<br />

It is <strong>the</strong> Law <strong>of</strong> Change.<br />
When Europe again is smiling<br />
When her great guns are dumb,<br />
When her battlefields are greening.<br />
And her shops and looms a-hum<br />
As sure as <strong>the</strong>re's Heaven above us,<br />
'Tis <strong>the</strong>n our time will come.<br />

And now 'tis millions strong;<br />
And it falls— ^this tread, on <strong>the</strong> heart like lead,<br />

In <strong>the</strong>se <strong>the</strong> days that prove men's souls<br />
