Elizabeth Magruder, daughter <strong>of</strong> Nathaniel Magruder and Margaret<br />
(Magruder) Magruder, was born in 1775, and died unmarried,<br />
intestate, and without administration upon her estate in 1827.<br />

Louisa Magruder, daughter <strong>of</strong> Francis Magruder and Barbara<br />
(Williams) Magruder, died unmarried, December 12, 1828.<br />
Her will was made December 11, 1825, and probated in Prince<br />
George's County, Maryland, January 31, 1829. She devised all her<br />
real estate to her sister Eleanor W. Magruder, to pass, in event <strong>of</strong><br />
her death without natural heirs, to testatrix's nephew, Francis M.<br />
Bowie, in fee. A slave, Tom, was to be free at her dsath. All her<br />
slaves above 20 years <strong>of</strong> age were to be sold for a period <strong>of</strong> six years,<br />
and <strong>the</strong>n set free. Those above 12 years <strong>of</strong> age, and under 20, to be<br />
sold for a period <strong>of</strong> 12 years, and <strong>the</strong>n set free. All under 12 years<br />
<strong>of</strong> age to be sold for a period <strong>of</strong> 13 years, and <strong>the</strong>n set free; <strong>the</strong> proceeds<br />
from such sales to be divided between her sister Elizabeth Harper<br />
and nephew, Francis M. Bowie. Remaining personalty was bequea<strong>the</strong>d<br />
to her sister Eleanor W. Magruder. Her counsin Maria Watterston<br />
and her aunt by marriage, Eleanor Magruder "Widow <strong>of</strong> my<br />
late uncle, John Smith Magruder," were bequea<strong>the</strong>d $150 each. Her<br />
sister Eleanor W. Magruder was named as executrix.<br />
February 7, 1829, Eleanor W. Magruder, Samuel B. Harper and<br />
Benjamin B. Jeffries gave bond in <strong>the</strong> sum <strong>of</strong> $10,000 for Eleanor<br />
W. Magruder as executrix.<br />
May 11, 1829, was filed inventory <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> estate including 12<br />
slaves, valued at $1,081, a trifling figure considering <strong>the</strong>ir ages, but<br />
it must be remembered that <strong>the</strong> will provided <strong>the</strong>y be sold for a term<br />
<strong>of</strong> 5'^ears and <strong>the</strong>n freed. As evidence <strong>of</strong> appraised value I will<br />
