In partnership with The Leader, <strong>Wrexham</strong><br />

Year of Culture is holding a ‘Best-dressed Window<br />

Competition’ for town centre shops, which will be<br />

judged by members of the public. Entrants will be<br />

asked to create a window display based around<br />

the theme of ‘Culture’ and will be supplied with a<br />

pair of <strong>Wrexham</strong> Year of Culture Comedy / Tragedy<br />

masks to incorporate into the display. A number<br />

of competition windows will be featured in The<br />

Leader and there are some great prizes on offer<br />

for the winners.<br />

STREET ENTERTAINMENT FESTIVAL<br />

18 - 20 August<br />

<strong>Wrexham</strong> Town Centre<br />

For three days in August, <strong>Wrexham</strong> town centre,<br />

in partnership with Heart FM and The Leader, will<br />

play host to scores of singers, musicians, jugglers,<br />

comedians and other street entertainers.<br />

Sixteen pitches have been identified throughout<br />

the town centre and entertainers will be given a<br />

badge and an identification number to be<br />

displayed during their performances. Members<br />

of the public will be able to vote on their<br />

favourite entertainer and the winner will secure<br />

performances at the <strong>Wrexham</strong> Christmas Lights<br />

Switch-on in December 2011 and at the<br />

Llangollen International Eisteddfod in July 2012.<br />

art project and exhibition is to come along to<br />

Eagles Meadow and smile! You could even be<br />

one of the five lucky winners of a free portrait<br />
