31 Set the mode dial at "M". Using conventional auto flash units If you use non-dedicated conventional auto flash units other than T-saries flashes and the F280, it is necessary to use a Manual Adapter 2. The flash will not fire without it when used with an AF lens. Adjust the aperture dial to the aperture mode of the flash unit. (Refer to Section 2 in page 26 as to adjustment of the aperture dial.)
