The Physical therapy Program received continued accreditation for 10 years from the Commission
on accreditation in Physical therapy Education (CaPtE). after submitting a self-study report
and hosting a three-person on-site review team, the program achieved no citations and received
commendations for its report. CaPtE judged the program to be in full compliance with all criteria by
which physical therapy programs are evaluated. Mayo Clinic’s program in physical therapy was
initially accredited in 1939, making it one of the oldest and longest-accredited physical therapy
programs in the country.
Graduates in the class of 2010 performed superbly on the national physical therapy licensure examination.
the class average score on the exam was a full 20 points higher than the national average and the class
first-time pass rate was 96 percent. the class ultimate pass rate was 100 percent.
