vehicles. The company plan
to use it for exhibitions,
demonstrations and hands-on
vehicle and equipment training.
McCreath Taylor, of course,

years, and this new facility will
enable it to further develop
and broaden these courses.
The possibility of offering
the facilities for hire to other
organisations who prefer to
carry out their own training
also hasn’t been ruled out.
In the past, McCreath Taylor has
organised a variety of courses

covering a broad range of
subjects - from road sweeper
fleet improvement and managing
and motivating operators
to landfill responsibilities
and vehicle maintenance
workshops, the majority of
them targeting management
and supervisory personnel.
The forthcoming Winter
Maintenance Conference –
being held on Monday 5th
September - is aimed at senior

arrangements taking place
on the ground this winter.

Exhibition
Following on from the seminar,
there will be an exhibition of
Winter Maintenance Equipment;
this will run from 5 pm to 8
pm and will allow attendees to
see the current state of the art
equipment which is available
for Winter Maintenance.
The exhibition will be of interest
to persons such as Ground
Maintenance Contractors – both
public and civic - owners of
estates, facilities management
contractors, public transport
facility operators, air and
sea ports and indeed all
persons responsible for such
diverse areas as car parks
and tourist amenities.
There will also be a number of
short presentations between
7 pm and 8pm on relevant
subjects - and for those
who will have worked up an
appetite, an on site hog roast!
