Depending on the nature of the substrate: approx. 50
g/m².
Application
The substrate must be dry, sound and free from any
material that would hinder adhesion and must be
prepared according to Technical Information TI 21 -
Substrate Preparation.
Clean surface with KEMPERTEC ® MEK Cleaning
Agent.
Warning: KEMPERTEC ® FPO-Primer is not
appropriate for every substrate!
This primer is especially developed for polyolefin
plastics!
Apply only when substrate and ambient temperatures
exceed 5 °C and are declining. During application the
surface temperature must be 3 °C above the dew
point. If the substrate temperature is below or at the
dew point temperature then moisture can form at the
surface which can affect coating adhesion and cure.
(Please refer to DIN 4108 - 5 Tab.1 for a dew point
graph).
Prime in one operation until the pores are closed.
Distribute with a perlon roller so that material
accumulation is avoided.
Provided that the primer is dry and tack-free,
additional suitable KEMPER SYSTEM waterproofing
products (KEMPEROL ® 2K-PUR and KEMPEROL ®
1K-PUR Waterproofing) should be applied after 15 -
30 minutes - depending on the weather conditions,
wind humidity and temperature. The KEMPEROL ®
membrane has to be applied within the next 24 hours
or separating effects can occur.
