Diva Royal on a success track<br />

Germany won Aachen’s Nation Prize with convincing performances from Desperados<br />

and Kristina Sprehe as well as Diva Royal and Doro<strong>the</strong>e Schneider.<br />

Laurence Vanommeslaghe rode Avec Plaisir<br />

by A Jungle Prince/Hitchcock (breeder: Tanja<br />

Bull-Arp, Ihlienworth) into second place in<br />

<strong>the</strong> Grand Prix and in <strong>the</strong> freestyle at Vierzon/<br />

France.<br />

Burlington (VA)<br />

<strong>The</strong> town of Hagen/Germany invited <strong>the</strong> rising<br />

generation of competitors to “Aachen<br />

for <strong>the</strong> Youth”. Two <strong>Hanoverian</strong>s led in <strong>the</strong><br />

classes for young riders. Burlington by Breitling<br />

W/Rohdiamant (breeder: Hans-Heinrich<br />

Oltmann, Borstel) won <strong>the</strong> team test unchallenged<br />

with rider Charlott-Maria Schürmann.<br />

Burlington laid <strong>the</strong> foundation for <strong>the</strong> German<br />

victory in <strong>the</strong> Nation Prize with this performance.<br />

<strong>The</strong> pair also won <strong>the</strong> final qualification<br />

and <strong>the</strong> freestyle.<br />

Ciowa<br />

Ciowa by Cheenook/Wittelsbach (breeder:<br />

Ulf Brandt, Stade) competed at <strong>the</strong> CDIO in<br />

Aachen/Germany with rider Carmen Naesgaard<br />

as members of <strong>the</strong> Spanish team. <strong>The</strong><br />

team from <strong>the</strong> Iberian Peninsula finished in<br />

fifth place in <strong>the</strong> Nation Prize.<br />

Wirsol‘s Cipollini<br />

<strong>The</strong> German team of junior Riders won <strong>the</strong><br />

Nation Prize in Hagen. Wirsol’s Cipollini by<br />

Compliment/Western Star (breeder: Dr. Dieter<br />

Schüle, Ansbach) received <strong>the</strong> second highest<br />

score with rider Vivien Niemann. <strong>The</strong> pair also<br />

placed second in <strong>the</strong> final qualification and in<br />

<strong>the</strong> freestyle.<br />

Condio B<br />

Condio B by Contendro/Willem’s As (breeder:<br />

Stephan Baumgart, Drochtersen) and rider<br />

Claire-Louise Averkorn were members of <strong>the</strong><br />

German team that won <strong>the</strong> Nation Prize for<br />

Junior Riders in Hagen.<br />

Dablino FRH<br />

Germany’s female dressage competitors celebrated<br />

<strong>the</strong>ir victory in Aachen’s Nation Prize.<br />

Dablino FRH by De Niro/Wanderbusch II<br />

(breeder: Weert-Arnold Sweers, Krummhörn)<br />

and rider Anabel Balkenhol contributed considerably<br />

to <strong>the</strong> victory with a forth place in<br />

<strong>the</strong> Grand Prix. A good placement in <strong>the</strong> special<br />

Belgium participated in <strong>the</strong> Nations-Cup of<br />

Rotterdam with only three competitors. <strong>The</strong>
