El Consejo <strong>de</strong> Administración fue establecido <strong>de</strong> conformidad con la resolución 2997 (XXVII)<br />
<strong>de</strong> la Asamblea Nacional <strong>de</strong> 15 <strong>de</strong> diciembre <strong>de</strong> 1972. El Consejo <strong>de</strong> Administración informa<br />
a la Asamblea General por conducto <strong>de</strong>l Consejo Económico y Social. Sus 58 miembros<br />
son <strong>el</strong>egidos por la Asamblea General, por un mandato <strong>de</strong> cuatro años, teniendo en<br />
cuenta <strong>el</strong> principio <strong>de</strong> la representación regional equitativa. Toda la información sobre la<br />
composición, <strong>las</strong> funciones y responsabilida<strong>de</strong>s <strong>de</strong>l Consejo <strong>de</strong> Administración y <strong>el</strong> Comité <strong>de</strong><br />
Representantes Permanentes, establecido oficialmente y ratificado como órgano subsidiario<br />
<strong>de</strong>l Consejo <strong>de</strong> Administración en la <strong>de</strong>cisión 19/32 <strong>de</strong> 4 <strong>de</strong> abril <strong>de</strong> 1997, se pue<strong>de</strong> consultar<br />
