• Before connecting the appliance to a socket<br />

outlet, make sure the voltage indicated on<br />

the appliance corresponds to your local mains<br />

voltage.<br />

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons<br />

(including children) with reduced physical,<br />

sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience<br />

and knowledge, unless they have been<br />

given supervision or instruction concerning<br />

use of the appliance by a person responsible<br />

for their safety.<br />

• Children should be supervised to ensure that<br />

they do not play with the appliance.<br />

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be<br />

replaced by the manufacturer or its service<br />

agent or similarly qualified person in order to<br />

avoid hazard.<br />

• Never use the vacuum cleaner without a dust<br />

bag. Do not use the appliance if the dust bag is<br />

damaged. This can damage the appliance.<br />

• The vacuum cleaner may not be used for:<br />

cleaning persons or animals; vacuuming up:<br />

– hazardous, sharp-edged, hot or red hot substances.<br />

– damp or liquid substances<br />

– highly flammable or explosive substances and<br />

gases<br />

– ash, soot from tiled stoves and central heating<br />

systems<br />

– toner dust from printers and copiers.<br />

• Keep suction away from your head when using<br />

the handle, nozzles or pipe.<br />

• In the following cases, stop using the appliance<br />

immediately and contact the after-sales<br />

service:<br />

– if the mains connection cable is damaged.<br />

– if you have accidentally vacuumed up some<br />

liquid orliquid has entered the inside of the<br />

appliance<br />

– if the appliance has been dropped.<br />

• Do not use the power cord to carry the vacuum<br />

cleaner.<br />

• When disconnecting the appliance from the<br />

mains, pull on the plug, not the power cord.<br />

• Do not pull the power cord around sharp corners<br />

or allow it to become trapped.<br />

• Unplug the power cord from the mains before<br />

carrying out any work on the vacuum cleaner<br />

or its accessories.<br />

• Switch the appliance off and disconnect the<br />

plug from the mains when not in use. Never<br />

touch the plug and supply cord with wet<br />

hands.<br />

• Do not use the vacuum cleaner if it is damaged.<br />

• Unplug the power cord from the mains if a<br />

fault is detected.<br />

• For safety reasons, only authorised aftersales<br />

service personnel are permitted to carry<br />

out repairs and fit replacement parts to the<br />

vacuum cleaner.<br />

• Protect the vacuum cleaner from outside<br />

weather conditions, moisture and sources of<br />

heat.<br />

• Only use accessories provided or recommended<br />

by the manufacturer.<br />

• Plastic bags and films must be kept out of<br />

the reach of children before disposal (risk of<br />

suffocation).<br />
