Author’s Instructions for
the Submission of Original Papers
Papers submitted to the REVISTA IBEROAMERICANA DE TEOLOGÍA should have
the following format:
Articles:
• Electronic Word file, submitted on a CD or by email: ribet@uia.mx
• The following information is required:
o Title of the article
o Name of author and institutional affiliation (if applicable)
o Short curriculum vitae of the author (approximately 10 lines)
o Address, telephone number and email address
o Summary of the text in Spanish and English: emphasize importance,
scope, and originality (not more than 15 lines).
• Extension: minimum 8.000 words; maximum 10.000 words.
• Font: Times New Roman 12 pt for the text, and 10 pt for footnotes.
Reviews:
• Extension: minimum 600 words; maximum 1.200 words.
• Reviews must include the following:
o Brief presentation of the author, bibliographical reference and ISBN
number.
o Central thesis and some of the auxiliary arguments.
o Description of method used by the author (sources and text organization).
o Critical evaluation of the work (thesis development, language, value of
contribution, values and deficiencies, positive and negative aspects).
o Conclusion (reviewer’s recommendations to the reader).
Footnotes:
Footnotes are to be inserted outside the main body of the text, with consecutive
numerical references, and organized as follows:
