In recent years, Madrid has become a hub of ongoing research and
experimentation. Unlike other large capitals and traditional nerve centres, the

of active presence in the life of the city. The relationships maintained with the
most influential business, the commitment to experimentation and, above all, the
constant refinement of its own vision reaffirm IED Madrid as an essential point of
reference in the areas of design and communication.
As a result of these circumstances arose the creation of European Design Labs, a
project that breaks traditional boundaries in education and poses a true revolution
in learning methods. Students are able to learn within the culture of the project
and they acquire knowledge of new working models and operating guidelines
that will govern the market in the future. These new professionals are capable
of interacting with context in a much broader manner, in order to anticipate
scenarios and create much more precise knowledge maps that are better suited
to a new reality that we are already catching glimpses of today.
