Espíritu de nuestro trabajo
Como capacitadores y jurados del Concurso Raymundo
Gleyzer estamos convencidos de que la distribución equitativa
de la formación e información en todo el Territorio Nacional
es parte de una justa distribución de la riqueza para los
habitantes de todos los rincones de nuestro país, y que es un
deber ineludible para afianzarnos como país federal. Por eso,
resulta un honor ser parte de esta herramienta única y poderosísima
para revitalizar y desarrollar el cine que se gesta
en todo el país. Este concurso nos ha permitido año tras año
ayudar a revelar el enorme potencial de muchas historias. Al
mismo tiempo, nos ha brindado una experiencia humana y
artística que nunca hubiéramos imaginado.
Como equipo de trabajo, incluida nuestra coordinadora, Antonella
Denegri, nos guía la pasión por el cine, y el cariño y el
respeto que supimos conseguir en tres años de ardua labor,
viajando por todo el país. En la edición 2009, el Concurso sumó
un jurado productor en cada región, que amplió enormemente
nuestra percepción de la realidad cinematográfica de cada
zona. Nuestros compañeros fueron Guillermo Elordi por NEA,
Pablo Feuillade por CENTRO NORTE, Rolando Pardo por NOA,
Luís Rey por PATAGONIA y Gaspar Gómez por NUEVO CUYO.
Sabemos que contagiamos y se nos contagian sueños y esperanzas
de otros productores, guionistas y realizadores en
esos dos días de trabajo que compartimos en cada región. Las
clínicas, lejos de alentar la competencia, son una oportunidad
de enriquecimiento para los artistas que pueden compartir
dificultades, saberes y entenderes con colegas de su zona.
El espíritu colectivo se resume en conocer en profundidad
nuestras debilidades para, todos juntos, transformarlas en
fortalezas. Siempre es muy conmovedor ver la evolución y la
solidez que adquieren los proyectos al finalizar las clínicas.
La capacitación que proponemos apunta a promover el abordaje
profesional del proyecto cinematográfico y a lograr un
rigor que permita una mayor libertad y creatividad en el
tratamiento de los temas y contenidos. Nuestra metodología
es netamente práctica y horizontal. Compartimos nuestras
vivencias y experiencia profesionales de igual a igual con
nuestros pares que potencian sus proyectos confrontándolos
con otras miradas.
En el año 2009, se presentaron 173 proyectos de todo el país,
cifra que representa 70 proyectos más que el año anterior.
La nueva Ley de Servicios de Comunicación Audiovisual
fortalecerá los futuros Concursos Gleyzer incrementando
su convocatoria, ya que los nuevos canales independientes
necesitarán capacitación y desarrollo.
Por todo esto, creemos que el Concurso Raymundo Gleyzer es
un invaluable instrumento para la exploración y descubrimiento
de historias y proyectos de cine en todo el Territorio
Nacional que difícilmente podrían ser valorados y desarrollados
sin iniciativas de este tipo. Las políticas de apoyo
al cine del interior dentro del amplio proyecto de gestión e
iniciativa de la actual Gerencia de Acción Federal y de la Presidencia
del INCAA comienzan a dar frutos con el estreno de
varios films ganadores de este concurso.
Agradecemos profundamente a la Gerenta de Acción Federal,
Lucrecia Cardoso y a la Presidenta del INCAA, Liliana Mazure
por convocarnos y permitirnos vivir una experiencia tan
valiosa junto a cineastas de todo el país.

The spirit of our work
As the coaching and jury members of The Raymundo
Gleyzer Competition, we are great believers in that the
equal distribution of education and information throughout
the Nation constitutes a vital part of an even distribution
of wealth among the people living in the country, and it
represents an inescapable duty in order to consolidate as a
federal country. This is why we feel honored to play a role in
this unique and powerful instrument which fosters and gives
a new lease on life to the film industry across our country.
Year after year this competition has made it possible to reveal
the enormous potential of many stories. At the same time, we
would never have imagined such a meaningful human and
artistic experience for us.
As a work team, including our coordinator, Antonella Denegri,
we are driven by our passion for films, the fondness we have
grown and the respect we have gained along three years of
hard work, traveling across the country. In the 2009 edition,
a producer from each region joined the Competition as a
member of the jury. This widened our perception on the local
filmmaking realities. Our teammates were Guillermo Elordi
from NEA, Pablo Feuillade from CENTRO NORTE, Rolando
Pardo from NOA, Luis Rey from PATAGONIA, and Gaspar
Gómez from NUEVO CUYO.
In those two days of challenging work we share in the
different regions, we inspire producers, scriptwriters and
directors with our hopes and dreams and become inspired by
theirs. The seminars, far from encouraging competition, mean
an opportunity for artists to live an enriching experience
sharing difficulties, skills and worldviews with their local
peers. The team spirit, in brief, consists of gaining insight
into our weaknesses to be able to collectively turn them into
strengths. It’s always so moving to see how projects evolve
and improve at the end of the seminars.
The training we designed aims at learning how to deal
professionally with a film project and how to rigorously
apply criteria to allow greater freedom and creativity in
the treatment of subjects and contents. Our educational
methodology is essentially horizontal and practical. We treat
participants as equal peers who want to boost their projects
by contrasting them with other views, and we just share our
own professional experiences and expertise with them.
In 2009, 173 projects from all over Argentina were
submitted—that means 70 more than the previous year.
The new Media and Communication Services Law will make
the future Raymundo Gleyzer Competitions grow stronger,
as the number of participants will increase since the new
independent media will need training and development.
All things considered, we believe that The Raymundo
Gleyzer Competition is an invaluable instrument to
explore and find stories and film projects throughout the
length and breadth of the country. These gems would hardly
be taken into account and developed without initiatives of this
kind. The policies intended for supporting filmmaking in the
midlands of the country within the broader administrative
and initiative plan of the present Federal Action Management
Office and INCAA’s Office of the President are starting to bear
fruit as we see the competition winning projects turn into film
releases.
We are deeply grateful to the Federal Action Manager Lucrecia
Cardoso and INCAA’s President Liliana Mazure for relying
on us and giving us the chance of sharing such a precious
experience with filmmakers from all over the country.
