PregradoUn componente central <strong>de</strong>l trabajo <strong>de</strong>l CDH estádirigido a la actividad docente <strong>de</strong> los/as alumnos/as <strong>de</strong> pregrado<strong>de</strong> la Facultad <strong>de</strong> Derecho <strong>de</strong> la <strong>Universidad</strong> <strong>de</strong> <strong>Chile</strong>. De estamanera, el CDH aprovecha la oportunidad <strong>de</strong> formar a nuevos/as académicos/as y activistas en <strong>de</strong>rechos humanos tanto para<strong>Chile</strong> como para la región.1. Curso Optativo Derecho Internacional <strong>de</strong> los <strong>Derechos</strong><strong>Humanos</strong>El propósito <strong>de</strong>l curso es familiarizar a los/asalumnos/as con el Derecho Internacional <strong>de</strong> los <strong>Derechos</strong><strong>Humanos</strong>. Esto incluye compren<strong>de</strong>r su gestación y<strong>de</strong>sarrollo; su relación con otros sistemas humanitarios; susprincipales componentes normativos; el sistema jurídico<strong>de</strong> protección; sus principales instituciones; los dilemasmorales, teóricos y prácticos que plantean estas áreas; y, lasposibilida<strong>de</strong>s <strong>de</strong> actuar en estos campos como ciudadanosy como profesionales. El curso fue dictado por el ProfesorClaudio Nash en el primer semestre.2. Memorias <strong>de</strong> PregradoUno <strong>de</strong> los ejes centrales <strong>de</strong>l <strong>Centro</strong> <strong>de</strong> <strong>Derechos</strong><strong>Humanos</strong> es el fomento <strong>de</strong> la investigación. En eseentendido, se busca promover y colaborar en la ejecución<strong>de</strong> memorias y tesis sobre temas relevantes a las materias<strong>de</strong> interés para el CDH. En 2011, el Profesor Claudio Nashinformó el trabajo final <strong>de</strong> tesis <strong>de</strong> tres alumnos/as <strong>de</strong> laFacultad <strong>de</strong> Derecho.3. Grupos <strong>de</strong> AyudantesOtro elemento clave en el trabajo <strong>de</strong>l CDH a nivel<strong>de</strong> pregrado es la formación <strong>de</strong> nuevos/as académicos/as en el área <strong>de</strong> los <strong>de</strong>rechos humanos. Por esta razón,cada Programa cuenta con estudiantes <strong>de</strong> pregrado quecolaboran en labores <strong>de</strong> investigación y gestión. En 2011,fueron ayudantes en el CDH: Lina Callejas, Pascual Cortés,Rayen Campusano, Francisco Jara y Aurora Muñoz. Losintegrantes <strong>de</strong>l equipo editorial <strong>de</strong>l Boletín <strong>de</strong> Jurispru<strong>de</strong>ncia<strong>de</strong> la Corte Interamericana <strong>de</strong> <strong>Derechos</strong> <strong>Humanos</strong>, fueron:Natalia Espinoza, Andrés Nogueira y Constanza Nuñez.A. Un<strong>de</strong>rgraduate LevelUn<strong>de</strong>rgraduate level teaching at the School of Law ofthe <strong>Universidad</strong> <strong>de</strong> <strong>Chile</strong> is a crucial part of the work carried outby the CDH. This way, CDH has the opportunity to train newaca<strong>de</strong>mics and activists in human rights issues, both for <strong>Chile</strong>and for the region in general.1. Elective Course International Human Rights LawThe goal of the course is for stu<strong>de</strong>nts to un<strong>de</strong>rstandthe gestation, nature and <strong>de</strong>velopment of internationalhuman rights law and its connection to other humanitariansystems; to enable stu<strong>de</strong>nts to un<strong>de</strong>rstand the mainregulatory components of the systems, the legal protectionmechanisms and their main institutions; and, to make themaware of the possibilities for action in such fields in theirroles as citizens and professionals. The course was taught byProfessor Claudio Nash in the first semester of 2011.2. Un<strong>de</strong>rgraduate ThesesPromoting research is one of CDH’s key elements.Consequently, CDH staff work to promote and assist the<strong>de</strong>velopment of un<strong>de</strong>rgraduate theses in areas of interest tothe CDH. In 2011, Professor Claudio Nash acted as adviserto three stu<strong>de</strong>nts of the School of Law.3. Un<strong>de</strong>rgraduate AssistantsAnother key element in the work carried out by CDHat the un<strong>de</strong>rgraduate level, is the training of new aca<strong>de</strong>micsin the field of human rights. For this reason, each Programhas a number of un<strong>de</strong>rgraduate stu<strong>de</strong>nts who assist withresearch and administrative duties. In 2011, the followingstu<strong>de</strong>nts worked as un<strong>de</strong>rgraduate assistants at the CDH:Lina Callejas, Pascual Cortés, Rayen Campusano, FranciscoJara and Aurora Muñoz.
